Christmas is the time of the year when everybody seems to greet everybody, and everyone sends presents to everyone they love. In a season when gifts are abundant, how can you make people important to you feel your affection, care and love other than sending them a special kiss sealed in homemade Christmas cards?
No other holidays can compete the number of greeting cards we receive during Christmas. These mails arrive in bulk, and in reading them there definitely will be cards that we will notice and there will be ones that we will enjoy. In crafting a Christmas Card, therefore, it is our goal to be the mail that stands out. While it is true that it’s the thought that counts, we should remember that the gifts people will appreciate the most are things that they know have taken a lot of time and effort to create.
Christmas elements have been fed to us since forever, and one strong way to stand out is to put ourselves literally into the design of the card. If we are sending the card to close friends and relatives, it is nice if we center the card with our picture, or a picture wherein we and the recipient together. And then we can include different Christmas elements which we associate to the person we’re sending to, and a fun message that we and that person shares. By finely and carefully, embellishing the card, and by putting a symbolic meaning to each embellishment, we are sure that whatever we send to people are meant to touch hearts.
